The Crux of Why Quantum Mechanics is (scientifically speaking), so hard to understand, so bizarre and unbelievable is because of two things (Watch Interview Finkelstein), and they both revolve around Heisenbergs Uncertainty Principle.

Heisenberg made a major advance in formulating the new mathematics needed to describe the world of the atoms. It was a strange kind of mathematics and what it taught us about atoms was even stranger.
Heisenberg argued that we could not say where an electron was if we were not measuring it, but that the electron itself did not have a definite location because it was spread out in a fuzzy unknowable way.
Heisenberg uncertainty principle shows that it is mathematically impossible to set measure both the speed and position of an electron (or quantum particle).
But we are not talking about some heartless and cold randomness. Consider that free will is the flip side of Uncertainty. It's because you and I have free will, that we are NOT determined! Our actions may be random to others, but our personal conscious choices and decisions are our own and we know full well what we are doing. This is a totally different perspective from Determinism and Fate as espoused by Newtonian physics.

This is stated in the form Δx*Δk>1 with no reference to the h in quantum mechanics. But since p=hk, if you multiply both sides by h, you arrive at the uncertainty relation.
The more you confine a particle, the more momentum and hence more energy it has. It is like put a lot of kids in a small room, they will get more active as the room gets smaller.
Add Uncertaintly principle forces wave / particle duality and superposition of states. By knowing one parameter such as position, momemtum becomes wavelike and spread out into a superposition of states.
waves = uncertainty... Particles/points are certainty. And the waves are waves of probability not classical waves.

If only an attractive force, then all the electrons in the atom would sit on top of each other and would not occupy space.

Objective indefiniteness or fuzziness, indeterminacy which physicists have not completely come to terms with yet...
Describe electrons with probability distribution (like gaussian curve) and that is a fundmental property needed for objects with no spacial dimension (points) to actually occupy space!
A fuzzy momentum makes a fuzzy position more fuzzy, attractive force of nucleus/proton, makes electron less fuzzy... Need a balance... could be unstable equilibrium, how to make stable?
To make equilibrium stable, you need an inequality in Heisenbergs relationship which controls the fuzziness of these two relations.
What is the proper way of dealing with a fuzzy quantity?
Assign probabilities to the possible outcomes of this measurement quantity.
That is precisely why quantum mechanics is in its formalism is a probability calculus and why the events (things to which probabilities are assigned) are measurement outcomes.
Probabilities in classical are a lack of knowledge. Subjective uncertainty that makes us talk about probabilities.

The rabbit hole goes deeper, the Standard model which explains all this (currently our best quantum theory of physics), explains these are point particles with NO VOLUME taking up NO SPACE. What appears as volume is the fuzzy probability patterns of the nucleus and especially electrons. But really nothing is there until we observe it.
This further helps to see the illusion of matter and the veil of separation. At the quantum level there are NO OBJECTS. Nothing that exists separate and outside of us until measured. And even when we do observe them into creation, they are all identical at the most fundamental level!
If we go all the way back to the Big Bang itself, all the forces merge into a unified superforce and all particles merge in a quark-electron plasma. Which then ultimately in superstring theory, forces and particles even merge into a simplistic Oneness. Scientific materialism actually preaches the Oneness of the Material universe at its roots, but has no satisfactory explanation to explain how complex life emerges.
Using the materialistic framework of quantum theory, How could something so radically simple become something to unfathomably complex (our Universe and Life in it)?. How can something unreal create Reality as we know it (especially by chance)? It makes no sense in a material framework. Quantum field theory and Darwinian evolution is not enough.

How can the fuzziness of a position be observed? It cannot be observed by simply making a measurement. There is nothing indefinite or fuzzy about the outcome of a single measurement. But it can be observed by taking a large number of objects with identical fuzzy positions and subjecting each object to a position measurement. The fuzziness of the prepared position will then be revealed by the statistical distribution of outcomes that will be obtained. Where the density of the cloud representing the electron’s fuzzy position is greater, the probability of finding the electron is higher.
***So now you know the reason why the mathematical formalism of quantum physics is a probability calculus, and why the events to which it serves to assign probabilities are measurement outcomes. The proper way of dealing with a quantity that is indefinite or fuzzy, is to assign probabilities to the possible outcomes of a measurement of this quantity.

True Freedom or Tyranny?

The Uncertainty principle is one of the most baffling ideas of all of science. The fact that seemingly solid matter at the most fundamental level is nothing but a probability cloud of possibilities is as much of an enigma today as it was back when Heisenberg formulated the principle.
But seen from another angle, freedom is the flip side of uncertainty. For example, my actions might seem random and unpredictable to you, but I know full well what I am doing (most of the time..lol). To give an example, I might go out shopping and make several stops. My itinerary is known to me, but to an outsider it is totally uncertain. If I was determined by you, I would not have freedom. So you can see uncertainty is the flip side of freedom.
But we do not always want uncertainty. Think about machines for example. We want the machines we use to be totally predictable and determined. This determinism at the macroscopic level is free of quantum effects and thankfully so, because if it was not, we could not make anything at all. You want your car to be determined and reliable, you want software programs to do what they are supposed to do, etc. This determinism of machines, computers, and tools we use gives us Freedom to make and create things with them. So you can see Determinism is also the flip side of Freedom.
With this, I want to show how Freedom and Determinism can lead to either a Free Society or one of Tyranny and Communist control.
As paradoxical as it seems, surrendering our free will to God, our Higher Self, or the Divine, gives us the greatest freedom. Why? Because if we are a determined instrument in God's hands, He/She can use us in ways we cannot even dream. Many great works of art, music, writing, science, etc, have come from a divine power working through the artist or scientist. This is the highest freedom, because we become a tool in the hand of God that can be used to create an amazing Divine plan on earth!
However, if we surrender our freedom to the current Communist government, we become a tool or instrument in THEIR hands. Who are THEY? Well that is the big question, but THEY are the opposite of God. So, don't be a tool in the hands of tyranny, stand up for Freedom and say NO! If too many people become instruments of these Nefarious agendas, then THEY can do whatever they want to run the world by controlling you! Can you see this?
